Cameron Handel is an accomplished trumpet player known for her versatility, vibrant sound, and commanding stage presence. She is a proud member of the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, and regularly performs as a substitute with both the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the North Charleston Pops!
Cameron spent five years touring internationally as the trumpet player for Michael Bolton, and has shared the stage with world-renowned artists including Adele and Seal. Her dynamic performance style earned her a featured soloist role in the Tony Award–winning Broadway productions “Blast!” and “Blast! 2.”
A dedicated educator, Cameron works extensively with high school and middle school trumpet students throughout the Charleston area. She also offers university-level residencies, most recently completing a residency at Coastal Carolina University, where she led masterclasses, taught private lessons, and appeared as the guest artist with the CCU Big Band.
Cameron is also the bandleader of "Cameron & The Saltwater Brass", a New Orleans-style funk ensemble known for delivering everything from elegant cocktail hour jazz to high-energy street-parade second lines. Whether in the concert hall or leading a brass band down the street, she brings energy, artistry, and heart to every performance. Cameron plays on Powell Signature Trumpets.
