Pure Imagination EP
featuring members of Pulse Trio
Recorded August 3rd, 2010, at Charleston Sound Studios, Pure Imagination displays Cameron’s diverse stylistic and thematic ideas in a variety of tracks.
Beginning with Blue Spice, a Cameron Handel original, the EP invites the listener into the heart of a sultry, humid blues club in the heart of the city. One need only sit back, order a cold beverage and enjoy.
The second track, Pure Imagination, evokes memories of childhood wonderment, Golden Tickets, edible dishes, and then surprisingly jumps to an upbeat push to the end at 2:18.
Georgia, the third track, is one of Cameron’s favorites both from her experiences at UGA, as well as her love of Ray Charles’ music.
The last track features a tune that has become a staple in live performances for Cameron, Recorda Me. Its strong presence of bass and drums drives the rhythm forward to the end, providing a solid track to mark the conclusion of a great collection of tunes that clearly showcase Cameron’s diverse influences and abilities.
